Discovery fun in Week 8

Room 12 have been learning about colour in class and at their workshops on a Wednesday afternoon.
In class we have carried out the 'Walking Water' experiment. The children were very excited to see their rainbow!

What a term!

Term 1 flew by.

As you can see from previous posts on our blog we have done a lot of different things.

Here are some more things we did.....

Learning how to throw and catch a ball.

Harold the Giraffe teaching us about food and what is healthy for us to eat.

and playing cool games with our buddy class.

 WOW!!! what a busy term.

Working collaboratively

We are learning to work with someone else to create a new Hungry Caterpillar.

We had to decide what food the caterpillar ate and what animal part the caterpillar transformed into.

Here are the things that the children came up with:

First our caterpillar ate some pizza and grew dinosaur claws. Then he ate a pear and grew some antennae. Next he ate a leaf and grew a big nose. After that he ate some ice-cream and grew a trunk. The last thing he ate was a pineapple and he grew buffalo horns.

First our caterpillar ate some chocolate cake and grew the wings of a bumble bee. Then he ate a green banana and grew some crocodile legs. Next he ate some meatballs and grew a trunk. After that he ate some sausage rolls and grew leopard spots all over his body. The last thing he ate was a pickle and he grew the tail of a mouse.

Then he ate some watermelon and grew some legs of a worm. After that he ate some slime and grew bird feathers. He also ate a cupcake and grew a whale’s tail. The last thing he ate was a sausage and he grew some tusks.
